Spend 4 days studying the Welsh countryside and all it has to offer with excursions to the local beauty spot of Llangollen and across the Welsh mountains for a spot of tea, cake and drawing you can refresh your sketchbook skills. Each day you will progress your work from sketchbook studies to textile techniques. By the end of the week you will have your own unique stitched work in hand and/or machine stitch.

Techniques covered will include: sketchbooking for textile artists, textile collage, painting on fabric, freemotion embroidery, freehand embroidery. Students can also choose to include some aspects of printmaking, cyanotypes, inclusion of found objects and more!

The day runs from 9.30am – 4.30pm and a light lunch is included. (food allergies must be advised when booking)

For this course you can bring your own sewing machine but there are machines available to use on site if you prefer. Materials are provided – please bring your choice of sketchbook (minimum of A5 size).

Deposit is non-refundable. Remainder is due one month before start of course.
